7:30 am to 5:00 pm
While Ohio policymakers question the benefits of renewables and energy efficiency, the nation is undergoing an historic transformation in the way we generate and use energy. The release of the final Clean Power Plan to reduce carbon emissions is accelerating the transition to cleaner, more distributed and efficient forms of energy. At this year’s symposium, you will hear from Megan Ceronsky, Senior Policy Adviser on Climate Change at the White House about the economic benefits of the Clean Power Plan. You will also hear from Richard Kauffman, the Energy Czar of the State of New York, who is leading that State’s “Reforming the Energy Vision” a comprehensive reevaluation of electricity systems and infrastructure. You will also hear from Ohio business leaders and policymakers regarding the opportunities that lie ahead for Ohio energy users and suppliers.
